Where do you buy good quality clothes?

Hello all!

I need to buy new clothes now I’ll be going back to work post baby and a lot of my old clothes are too big now - which is great but I don’t know where to shop anymore 😂

I haven’t really bought any new clothes for a long time and everything just seems really badly cut, poor quality or has a weird print!

I just want flattering dresses, tailored trousers and simple not see through tops that fit a size 18.

Anywhere you recommend?

I have had a similar experience with Jigsaw recently, such a shame as I used to love them.

Reiss have some great trousers - "Joanne" they come in different colours and fabrics.

Forget that, Reiss seem to have nothing in size 18 - bad call.

I’m the same size as you, and buy quite a bit of work gear from Damsel in a Dress for pricier but beautiful blouses and tops, and Next and Autograph for trousers. I usually wear flat points from Boden.

Some durable items I've found fail safe are from Fat face, like cardigans and jumpers; Or Boden trousers. I used to love Jaeger, but they went into administration. Try Paul Costello (ebay/ TK Max). Very good linens.
The odd fun and durable item can be found in Benetton.

I think it's about trial and error; a whole wardrobe can't be supplemented in one store.

Boden Hampshire trousers are fabulous for cooler weather, tailored, stretch jersey ponte. The work trouser I thought didn't exist.
Richmonds for summer, though jeez Louise the bagging on the knee. Confused

Have you looked at Poetry ?

Another vote for basics from Uniqlo. Proper quality cotton that doesn't bobble and a normal fit. They have a wider range of products than I first expected and are well priced too.

Good recommendations. I just wish I could find lined linen or wool trousers without needing to sell a kidney.Sad
