Shoe help!

I have always been a bit clueless about shoe fashion. I want to get it right but somehow I never seem to!

Recently I had a little girl and have basically existed in wellies (for dog and pram walks) and this old pair of boots that have just fallen apart.

In summer I'm happy in flip flops and trainers for work. However, in the in between seasons I just have no idea what to wear!

Can anyone help sort me out? I'd like a comfy/practical option and a smarter option for going out (exciting!!) say to town or out for a smarter lunch.

I think if you like to be casual and practical but want a smarter option, you could go for leather trainers instead of canvas. Mid season is hard, so be lead by the weather. Look at 'just in' on any shoe website to get a feel for what's appropriate.

I'd sat, smart boots till the end of March, smart trainers till the end of may and then nice sandals til summer's over.
