What style of jeans do I want?

I'm 5ft 5, chunky bum and thighs, small waist but mum tum. I've worn skinny jeans for years, I don't really suit them but they're practical and have been in fashion for a long time so I've just worn them.

I'm thrilled that they are apparently out now, but I don't know what else to wear. I'm not really into bootcut. I like the idea of boyfriend/girlfriend/mom jeans but I'm not sure they are right for my shape. I haven't tried any on, I'm just don't trust myself to try a different style after all this time.

I wondered about straight jeans, but feel like they might make me look older. I'm 32. Maybe I only think this because my Mum wears straight jeans.

I'd like to find a style that I can wear in the warmer weather with white supergas and Birkenstocks. After a relaxed but not scruffy style. I'm a SAHM to a pre-schooler and a toddler and we live rurally, so need to practically dressed for chasing around the park etc.

Any ideas?!

I love my skinnies but I really don’t like bootcut. I fancied a change - check out the Tori ‘mom’ jean from New Look - I got a pair this week and really like them

I’m also struggling to move on from skinnies. I think I’m so used to what I look like with them on that it’s really hard to feel comfortable in anything else.

I’ve just returned jeans to H&M, hush and Boden. I’ve got 8 pairs to back to Zara (4 styles in x2 sizes) and I’m waiting for delivery of 2 more pairs from Boden. I have an old pair of slim jeans from Zara that I love but they are looking tired now. Ideally I want those again!
