Has anyone purchased from Pampelone Clothing?

I discovered them through their advertising on Instagram and spotted a dress i like. But I've goggled and can't find any reviews, which makes me suspicious.🤔

The brand has recently relaunched with new owners - probably why you can’t find any reviews.
The old owner was amazing. She sourced ethically and the products were of a really high standard.
I can’t imagine she would have sold to someone unless they had the same values...

My first though was are they still going, I'm sure I wore in the 80s.

Don’t order from them. Seems like a socialite run brand and unorganized. I ordered from them and almost a month later I had received my order. When I emailed them I got this reply: Im following on this for you right now, really not sure why it wouldnt have shipped yet - I just dropped a note in with production and will circle back as soon as i hear back, theyre on Bali time so not in the office yet.

Thank you for being so patient this far”
Notice they did not even apologize or bother capitalizing their grammar. Mind you I had ordered a dress for a wedding which I let them know and it didn’t arrive on time. They never emailed back. I just got a DHL message instead. What kind of customer service is that. I got the dress and the colors are not as depicted on the ads. The material rayon is similar to American Eagle (a pre teen brand) and sized as if it’s a one size fits (like pinkyotto) even though I ordered an XS. You’d have to be a supermodel for it to fit right Bc the straps are so long. Mind you, I’m 5 1” and 103lbs so an extra small should fit. They have some work to do. I love ethically sourced brands but they’re better off selling to some boutiques than charging $180. You can find stores in Soho that sell similar type brands. Also how do we know they’re ethically sourced when they don’t show any of the seamstresses or list where the textiles are made.

Oh and just got a response from them where they refused to take responsibility for the delayed shipment. Notice they also disable comments on their IG and also have no reviews online or anywhere for that matter. There’s a lot of “woe is me” and redirect when it comes to them taking responsibility. Sign #1 of an entitled and inexperienced business owner. As someone who has a background in hospitality, fair trade and the textile industry. Avoid this brand at all cost.

Same experience. After first inquiry to confirm required arrival date, I was told 5-10 days max which was perfect. I’ve written 2 follow-up emails with no response.
Now 13 business days out, 3 beyond the stated max, and no response and no tracking details. Unprofessional and unreliable.

Extremely rude owner (holly something). I ordered something from them and it didn’t arrive. I followed up many times. I think it was mis delivered as someone had signed for it. She accused me lying and demanded proof from post office etc which wasted a lot of my time. After that I had to really argue with her to get a refund as she wanted to just send me the items again (since I wanted them, what has changed?). She finally refunded with a bitter sarcastic remark that “somebody out there is enjoying those clothes”

Do not order from this company!!!!
Very sketchy customer service.
They would not answer my question about when the dresses were arriving. They said delayed production due to the weather. I ordered two dresses over a month ago. One dress arrived in the wrong size so i mailed it back. No sign of the two dresses I ordered actually arriving. I just had to contact my credit card company to dispute this purchase.
The dress that did arrive (incorrect size) was not as nice as I expected. Seemed like cheap material. Very see through.

I'm so pleased to read this thread. I've had one of their Bardot dresses on my summer "wish list" but will not look elsewhere.

I've bought a couple of their older dresses from TKMaxx a couple of years ago but when they arrived just didn't look as nice on. So surprised myself by sending them back!!

I really like Seraphina London (sale only!!) and recently found Place du Soleil too.

Hi all! In short, I just bought from them and would totally buy from them again. Long winded story below for those who like details :).

I saw Pampelone on my instragram feed, loved a dress, and then searched for reviews before I ordered to make sure it was a real company. This was one of the only threads I ran across with reviews, which made me hesitant to order. But, since I loved the dress and couldn't find anything bad about the actual clothes, I went ahead and ordered (I needed the dress for an event next month, so I had plenty of time even if the shipment was delayed). I ended up ordering 2 dresses (the Alisee and the Manon). The dresses shipped 4 days later (they said it would be 5-7 business days) and I received the full order 10 days after ordering (they came in 2 separate packages). Ironically, the one that first caught my eye didn't look good on me, so I returned it and kept the other one. I emailed Pampelone to ask about the return process and they sent me the info back immediately (literally minutes). Super friendly, super easy. I wouldn't have any concern buying from them again. Just wanted to share since I know I had trouble finding any reviews. :)

Krystle, what do you think of the Alisee dress? Is that the one you returned and why?

@Emi81 The Alisee dress is beautiful on the website and was the dress that caught my eye on Instagram. It's (unfortunately) also the one I returned - I really wanted to love it. To me, the dress looked vibrant red in the ad, but in real life, it was really muted/dull coloring in my opinion. I kept the Manon dress. It's very soft and simple, but could be dressed up or down pretty easily and the deep v-cut makes it different from anything else I own. Hope that helps!

The lady you mention, Holly, doesn’t own the company anymore, it was sold ages ago.

DO NOT PURCHASE FROM PAMPELONE! This is a scam company, I assure you.

They claim they are the victims and have experience fraudulent returns, so you are not allowed to return any item for the original form of payment -- only exchanges or store credit.

Further, the items are very low quality. I would equate them to Shein or other fast fashion -- very low quality fabrics and single stitching, and the jewelry is tin, while being very expenses.

Learn from my mistake and do not get Pampelone your business, especially for the price.

I've just purchased a white drop shoulder top. The photo shows a brilliant white top in what appears to be a lovely linen/cotton fabric. Unfortunately the top arrived in a cream colour and the fabric is pretty cheap and ordinary. No fabric or care instructions. I've never written a bad review because quite frankly I've never had a bad experience with online purchases, however I'd strongly suggest you think twice before purchasing. The images are gorgeous however the product is far from that.

I just ordered a top from Pampelone (I was skeptical after reading reviews). Upon receipt which took about 10 days(not bad) the shirt was lovely. Very well made and exactly as pictured. I will order again

Don't purchase Pampelone clothing. The pictures are very misleading, the product is cheap, ill-fitting and off color. You have 7-14 days for a return, who gives 14 days, especially on line? Just don't. I ordered twice in a short period, BIG mistake, like throwing money in the garbage which is wear the clothes will go.

I wish I had googled reviews before buying from here, otherwise I wouldn't have wasted $126. I bought their dress for a special occasion - a wedding. I was super excited to get it because it looked lovely online and good quality. A friend had bought from them (but it hadn't arrived) so I went ahead without doing my research. BIG REGRETS (btw, she regretted too). The dress was a cheap material, not at all worth $126 and the color was WAY different than the picture - the Kahlia dress. Ok, so I asked for a return - their policy - because of so called scammers and fraudulent activity (I suspect more because of many disappointed shoppers) is only credit refund. ONLY CREDIT. I want nothing from them - because the quality of their products is very poor. I fought and fought because I am not one to give up. Nope! - they don't actually care about customer satisfaction and they actually only care about keeping their money. I am not a type you usually spend my time writing reviews, but I am bothered enough by the insulting nature of the company of mis-presenting items and then not giving refund after an item is returned. returned the dress within 30 days and they reported getting it - so how is that a scam/fraudulant? Avoid them at all cost, its not worth your time and money and stress, you'll regret it. Below is the burnt orange dress of poor quality that I wasted money on, returned, then never got it back.

Do not buy from Pampelone. There is something really shady going on with them. I bought two of the same dresses because I have two homes. I decided I didn’t want two when I received them and sent one back, unopened. They tell me that it has white staining knit so they can’t accept return. I tell them that I had not opened it but they refused the return. I paid to have it sent back. I told them I was going to send the other dress back as I had not worn it yet. I showed my husband both inside and out of dress and photographed the dress because I did not trust the company. Three weeks later, after many emails asking for return, they say it has white stains on it. I sent them my photos and told them that this was not possible. They refused to admit that something happened on their side, even though I have photos. I’ve reported them to the Better Business Bureau and the FTC.
