If you’re 50, what products are you using?

Just wondering about make up and skin care for those around 5 years of age.

DP bought me a John Lewis beauty box for my birthday and I do like some of the products inside. There’s a hyaluronic serum I like, ultrasun30 that I’m using daily, plus a Dior mascara that seems more budge proof than my Maybelline mascara so I think I’ll move over when it’s finished. As an undereye concealer I use Eraser my Maybelline with the foam sponge top. I like it but I wonder if I should try something else?

Skin care I use tret every few days and a retinol serum the other days. My skin isn’t awful. Lots of lines around my eyes though.

Anyone got a mid range skin and beauty regime they love abs want to share?

Ooh and also what lip liner/lipstick are people using? I’m finding my old faithful is sliding off my lips lately and looking smudged. It’s odd as I wouldn’t say I have lots of lines around my mouth but can only think my lips have lost definition or something 🥴

Rimmel do a clear lip liner - £4 and can be used with any lipstick.

Face wise I use Boots brand single ingredient products (so basically The Ordinary in Boots packaging) - morning: Niacinimide, Vit C; evening: Retinol. Also use Pixi glow tonic in the evening after double cleansing and Cerave moisturiser (day) and Aldi Caviar (night) moisturisers

Makeup wise I love L’Oréal C’est Magique CC cream, max factor mascara and Beauty Pie or Charlotte Tilbury eye crayons for quick every day eyes. I rate Urban Decay Naked eyeshadow palettes when you can be arsed to do a fancy eye. I love Charlotte Tilbury bronzer and maybelline blushers, and lips at the moment are mostly Barry M glosses (I don’t look great with a matte lip)

If you haven’t guessed I’m a bit of a junkie for these things 😀

I'm currently using the Vitaskin range from Holland and Barrett, which I really like - an exfoliating wash, a day and night cream. I've also got The Ordinary squalene oil, which I like but which I think has given me tiny white spots so I'm currently avoiding it.

Make up wise my holy grails are:
Double Wear
Benefit Boi-ing, Dandelion and Rollerlash
Mac Teddy eyeliner
Mac Velvet Teddy or Ruby Woo lipstick (not at the moment though because of masks)
Urban Decay Naked basics
