I want one for this in between weather. Short arse so need petite one and not an over size one as they swamp me. I want one that feels like wearing a cardy but the look of a blazer if that makes sense?

Whistles do these, they are quite pricey but they often have 30% off.

Whatnamesareleft · 28/02/2021 12:52

Thanks @Karmatime what are they like for sizing as I have never bought anything from there?

What about this one: www.asos.com/prd/21770359?acquisitionsource=pasteboard

They are TTS and come up fitted but not tight. I’m a size 10 and occasionally need to size up for jackets as I have quite broad shoulders. I bought a 10 and it’s fine.

Have a look at Whistles - they don't have a petite range but their jersey blazers are quite fitted and might suit you. They have 20% off at the moment. Here

Whatnamesareleft · 28/02/2021 21:20

@Karmatime what is TTS?

Thanks but all the ones I have seen a more of a jacket where as I’m after one that feels like a cardy (hence the jersey) but looks like a jacket if that makes sense? I don’t want shoulder pads, or that tight feeling across your back when you stretch that you get when wearing a blazer? Maybe it isn’t possible!

True to size
Maybe have a look at Uniqlo, I’ve seen more casual versions there.

uniqlo for sure

this one?

You could check Zara. I have a jersey blazer from there from a few years ago.

Or... dare I say it.... M&S I spotted some jersey blazers in there last Autumn. I didn't try them on, but they did look fairly good.

Do you mean more like this?

A cardigan with lapels?

Esprit have quite a few jersey blazers.

This one by Jigsaw (20% off at the moment): www.jigsaw-online.com/product/clean-knit-pocket-jacket/J43241_BK000

Although sadly no petite range.

Whatnamesareleft · 01/03/2021 14:09

Thanks everyone i appreciate I may be looking for something that doesn’t exist! As I’m short I can’t wear these that finish thigh length on these 5’8 models, I need waist or hip length max, can’t wear boyfriend/over size ones as they swamp me and look stupid. I want one that looks like this photo but made of jersey/stretch so no shoulder pads, and none of that horrible tightness across the shoulders when you move in a blazer?

I think this Asos one fits the bill

WildCherryBlossom · 01/03/2021 15:44

How about this? I don't think you are going to find one without shoulder pads. They are fairly integral to making it hang properly if it's going to be a blazer rather than a cardigan

Try M&S - either in their petite range or a size 6 in the normal range. I have a navy structured cardi (with a zip) from M&S (I'm 5ft) which I think is the sort of thing you're describing - no shoulder pads but more shape than a normal cardi.

Also try Mango or Zara - both do lots of blazers, some less formal. I find the sizing from Spanish brands is cut much smaller than Whistles/Jigsaw/COS etc.

Wallis petite has jersey blazers in stock online at the moment. Not sure if the style is what you have in mind though.
