Had it done? I seriously hate my nose and thinking it's time - any experiences 🙏

Work colleague had it done. Not painful but v v bruised after for 10 days. It takes a year to settle & looks really good. She had a wonky nose , so it's now straightened ,but the tip wasnt done as that was fine ( lot of people have cartilage taken out of the tip too). £500 down, rest in installments. Harley Street guy. I'm kind of tempted myself now! I have a bump I'd love to lose.

Had mine done recently. Unfortunately the tip didn't settle where it should so is a bit droopy. If I push it up slightly, it looks perfect. My op was quite complicated and took 3 hours. My surgeon will need to revise it once covid settles. I'm hopeful he will be able to! Just be aware that the revision rate is quite high as rhino is one of the most unpredictable results.

I had this procedure when I was 21 (I’m 53 now) so I can’t offer you recent experience but I can say it was the best thing I’ve ever had done. I had a big nose with a bump in it and I was very self conscious. It wasn’t painful but it was numb and a bit delicate for a couple of weeks. I remember when the dressings came off staring at my face and not recognising myself. I was so pleased with it and it made a huge difference to my confidence.

Hi @chinchin77 I’m actually having rhinoplasty in 2 weeks. Happy to report back!

chinchin77 · 28/08/2021 23:50

Hi @BasinHaircut how did it go? Are you pleased with outcome?

I had it done. It has made a massive difference to my self confidence. I would say it's good to be very explicit about the nose you want to come out with. My surgeon could have gone a little further. But on the upside my nose looks natural rather than a nose-job nose. It was definitely worth it IMO.

zeddybrek · 29/08/2021 08:46

Had it done in February this year and worth every penny. It looks very natural and no one has noticed but that's probably because they didn't see me for a long time from the first lockdown. I also lost a lot of weight and grew my hair out so I just looked different overall to help throw people off.

Didn't feel any pain, no bruising and minimal swelling so recovery can vary a lot.

Be very specific with your consultant on what you want is key.

I am absolutely delighted with the result and feel so much more confident.

I am very tempted to get my nose fixed too , I have a bump and the tip is a bit wonky . The only thing that puts me off is not being able to breathe through it for days afterwards ? How was it ? I think I would have a major panic attack …

Thank you all for replies - any chance of before / after noses? I've joined a face book group - becoming obsessed!!
