Perfect v neck t shirt, does it exist?

Twinkie01 · 22/02/2021 08:03

I'm looking for a v neck t short. Have big boobs and round necks make me look matronly.

Does anyone have a go to v neck t shirt which ideally contains modal that they could recommend please?

Are my usual go to

When the shops reopen Primark have a great range of t shirts including ones with a v neck. Like you I have big boobs and these are great, low enough to be flattering but not so low as to be too revealing. They are a cotton/Lycra mix, are cut quite long so they don't ride up and display my muffin top and come in a huge range of colours. They cost about £3/4 and wash really well.

Pigtailsandall · 22/02/2021 11:55

Hi OP, I did a thread about this some weeks back and got good recs- maybe search for it as it was useful

JMAngel1 · 22/02/2021 17:21

Sara usually do a very deep v t shirt every year in a variety of colours - super flattering as very tight on the short sleeves but not quite a cap sleeve.
I have a grey, black, white and coral pink colour - invaluable over spring/summer. They wash really well too. They are a viscose blend - not cotton and they don't crease

JMAngel1 · 22/02/2021 17:21

That was Zara!

DelphiniumBlue · 22/02/2021 17:24

Just bought a black v neck longline T-shirt from m&S. Made from recycled something, I think. It's quite thin, the sleeves are long short sleeves, so just above the elbow, and it's a loose fit. I suspect a paler colour might be slightly transparent, but the black is fab!

BallsToYouSue · 22/02/2021 18:07

Think they are cotton, but I like Uniqlo tshirts. I wear the long sleeve, v neck ones. I wear them all the time and they're great.

Builtthiscityontoiletrolls · 26/02/2021 01:34

Surprisingly Primark is my tshirt go to place. Even though I don’t rate it for anything else.

LunarCatAndDaffodils · 26/02/2021 04:26

It’s an oxymoron, so no.

Wiredforsound · 26/02/2021 06:49

I bought 2 white and 2 black of these and the beginning of lockdown, worn one almost every day, and they’re still going strong. Very light, airy and comfortable.

Mango

QuentinInQuarantino · 26/02/2021 07:04

Yes! I found my t shirt holy grail last year and I have about 10 of them now!

Uniqlo airism ones

They regulate temperature so you never get sweat patches AND skin flatteringly and have a dip so your hips look smaller, good length. I love mine so much

Tomatobear · 26/02/2021 07:34

T-shirts from Primark here too, they're great. Have had some of mine 10+ years now. They're a bit boring- plain coloured or stripey, but they're great.

Tomatobear · 26/02/2021 07:36

*stripy (my phone autocorrects to the wrong spelling!)

ThursdayLastWeek · 26/02/2021 07:36

My favourite ones are some cotton ones I’ve had from Boden for years. Bit of an investment but they do seem to wear and wash very well.

I just bought one of these and will be buying more - it's a lovely fit and super soft.

KTD27 · 26/02/2021 07:39

OMG these www.marksandspencer.com/v-neck-relaxed-longline-t-shirt/p/clp60494670 I’ve been telling everyone about them. I’ve got big boobs and these are ace as they’re longline so don’t become crop tops. They’re so soft wash like a dream and skim over and don’t cling. Just fab.

LetMeStraightenMyCrownFirst · 26/02/2021 07:57

Any fitted ones? I'm a 32G with a small waist and look like a box if tops are not fitted.

BikeRunSki · 26/02/2021 08:03

But they are acrylic!! Isn’t that a but sweaty for a t shirt?
MadameSapphire · 26/02/2021 08:33

@QuentinInQuarantino, have been looking at these for ages! What’s the sizing like, please? Glad to hear a good review!

QuentinInQuarantino · 26/02/2021 08:52

They come up quite large I think. I am a size 12-14, nearer a 14 and busty and pear shaped with a tummy (lucky me!) and I wear the M as everyday wear and the Ñ for outdoor exercise.

They're so good, I sweat easily and these show nothing!

Pinkfreesias · 26/02/2021 09:02

Saint & Sofia's Austen v neck tee is great. If you want short sleeves, there's the Apartment tee.

ShinyHatStand · 26/02/2021 09:08

Lots of great recommendations here but the colours are mostly pretty dull.

Where should I look for a splash of blue/red/pink (not pastel or navy)?

KTD27 · 26/02/2021 09:15

@BikeRunSki fair point. To be honest I haven’t done much sweating in them so far. It’s blinking freezing here! Weirdly I always wear t shirts but I cannot explain why. Not sure how they’d hold up over summer.

XiCi · 26/02/2021 09:30

Asos Design have been the best I've found. Only aboy £8. Really flattering V and a relaxed fit. Great to just throw on with jeans.
