Please has anyone any online stores a small, older woman can find some inspiration? I like simple, clean lines, casual and neutral colours. The places I get clothes include : Uniqlo, Esprit and Gap. I like a few bits from seasalt petite but nothing seems to suit me. I also love Cos but most stuff there neither fits nor suits me. I’ve got big boobs, small waist and big hips and chunky thighs. Everything I order generally gets returned. I really want a blazer but this seems to be the holy grail.

No tips of specific shops, but as you say nothing seems to suit you, maybe try doing a Kibbe body type test?

It’s a good way to get some idea of your shape and some suggested styles to look for that will likely suit you.

I am a pure classic, which explains why the ‘Swedish architect’ interesting silhouette androgynous stuff looks terrible on me, no matter how much I want to love it.

I have a similar body type but am taller (I’m 5 7 and I believe most shops cut to 5 2. My petite friends tell me otherwise 😀

Majority of my clothing I’d from:
Hobbs & Jaeger (if it’s still going)
Bravissimo clothes
M &S
gap

Second the Kibbe idea, I did it and found it helpful

I haven’t heard of the Kibbe test ShangPie so I will give that a go . Thanks for that.

M&S used to be ok for some things but a few years ago their petite range suddenly become much longer making their jeans and trousers ridiculous. No way do they fit 5’3 and under anymore.

I’m with your friends YowMyHead in that very few shops cut to under 5’2. ASOS have the biggest selection but there is unsurprisingly virtually nothing suitable for a 60+ on there, it’s getting harder to find anything that I like, that fits and that is appropriate for my age.

Have you tried Boden petite ?

Fromthegekko · 21/02/2021 14:10

I have Speckeldy. Their clothes fit well and are ok but arent my favourite when it comes to style .
