Make up piling

I'm struggling with my make up application and wondered if anyone could help me please.

I want to start applying a separate higher SPF to my make up routine. I have always used SPF30 plus, but as I get older I want to apply SPF50 and then a light coverage of something either a tinted moisturiser, BB cream or skin perfector.
I have tried various combinations and they all pill and I'm left with unattractive skin coloured balls/flakes as I blend it in. I have read about leaving the SPF moisturiser etc to sink in but I don't have that much time in the morning so I'm looking at something I can do in 5 minutes ideally with my fingers. Is someone able to share a successful combination of SPF50 moisturiser and a light skin coverage product which work together and don't repel one another before I waste any more money. I have been using Body Shop Skin Defence 50, Trinny products, No7 products various to name a few and they all seem to do it on my face.
Thank you.

Something you're using contains silicone, that's what does it.
It drives me mad! The only thing really is to kind of "pat" the top product on.

Products which you can use together- SPF50 block/ moisturiser/ light coverage please.

Yes, it'll be silicone. Have a look at the products you're using, check for silicones (e.g.dimethicone) in the ingredients list, then you'll know which one is the culprit. I had the same issue and it turned out my eye cream was very silicone heavy, so it was balling up as soon as I applied my primer. Switched eye cream and now no issues.

Oh tricky...yes, I've had this but with azaleic acid suspension cream! Put bare minerals on top and looked as if I had awful sunburn and my skin was flaking off!

Honestly, I just stopped wearing foundation while I was using it.

Could you use a BB cream or foundation with SPF in it?

I also have occasionally used SPF (factor 50 Sun Bum) under No 7 perfect and protect foundation and haven't noticed this happening.

Maybe you need to switch suncream rather than foundation? Also, yes, I was using a gel primer (bare minerals) when this happened. Could it be something like that?

I use misha BB cream which has spf 50 in it.

Frezyderm SPF50 is both a sunscreen and a primer. I love it, and because it's a primer it doesn't cause pilling
