Less hideous tracksuit bottoms for men

My DP has finally agreed to stop wearing the loose grey Jersey tracksuit bottoms which I have hated for our entire relationship and wants me to help him find some nicer ones.
(I don't really like men in joggers of any sort, and I have bought him nice tartan loungewear/PJ trousers which he wears sometimes but he insists he wants more tracksuit bottoms, and I do appreciate the need for comfort at home (I am on maternity leave and living in leggings and nursing tops).
I have attached a pic of him wearing the old horrible ones. I think it's some combo of the shapeless baggy design and the colour that I don't like, so I am thinking darker and more shapely would be a good place to start.
Any idea where he can buy some nicer ones from please? He is 45 if that is relevant.
Thanks x

You can't go wrong with a Nike tapered leg plain black jog pant imo.

My DH wears the everyday joggers from BAM, they look quite nice on him (this is the model, not my DH Wink)

H and M do a good range.

DH has just treated himself to some super soft Under Armour things from JD Sports. Will fully admit I felt the same as you about tracksuit bottoms previously but the dc have lived in them over lockdown and it’s going to be hard to persuade them back into jeans purely from a comfort level.

I think if you are willing to spend, you will get a nicer fit and materiel. My husband has a Hugo boss tracksuit and also surprisingly a Jack and Jones one which was cheaper but still £40 for the bottoms.

Try Uniqlo.

Bagelsandbrie · 19/02/2021 08:02

Branded ones like Nike or Adidas are better generally - slimmer fit, better fabric. Try Asos.

My DH has Hugo Boss tracksuit bottoms. They are made of fine jersey and are more narrow legged then your normal jogger. They are not cheap though. I think he bought them when they had a sale on.

Thank you ladies.... Excellent suggestions. One of these more tapered styles in black or navy would be a big improvement!

DS1 wanders around the house in black Underarmour thermals. They actually look really good - not too tight but not shapeless either.

Youtrustthefridge · 20/02/2021 09:24

Have a look at St Berts. They do great joggers.

mixedpeel · 20/02/2021 11:21

Agree with Uniqlo recommendation. Bought a pair for OH Christmas 2019, and due to wfh he’s ended up nearly living in them all 2020. They are excellent quality, don’t do that hideous bagging thing, still look almost new I’d say.

mixedpeel · 20/02/2021 11:24

Haha talking rubbish (though everything I’ve had from Uniqlo has been great) - I meant to recommend Superdry.

Lululemon discipline pant?
