I'm a 40 year old women with 2 DC's and a professional job where I (usually) have to rock a smart casual look.
I'd love to hear some thoughts about where others shop especially now the choices are incresingly shrinking??
I'm a a bordering boheme, hippy and also like the odd feminist slogan. I'm short - 5ft 1 and size 10/12 (growing over lockdown).
My wardrobe is a mix of Joe Browns, Yumi, Oliver Bonas, Fat Face amongst others but it all seems same shit different day...ditsy flowers, same prints, same same same.
Where would you recommend? I'm not having a mid life crisis honest Grin!!

I’ve been ordering from Sosandar recently. They do short leg which is helpful. I’m 5’2
They have 20% at the moment.

MargosKaftan · 18/02/2021 08:29

Also short and need to be smart casual for work.

Boden (the petite range is good but they can go a bit crazy sometimes, sales are good and lots of regular discounts)

H&M (lots of their above ankle trousers sit about full length on my little legs)

Uniqlo

Oasis seem to have come back well, theres nice things in there now.

John Lewis

I've found following petite Instagrammers and seeing how clothes sit on them when they do try ons helps you get an idea of if its going to look all wrong on a petite frame or not is good for lockdown shopping.

MrsHuntGeneNotJeremyObviously · 18/02/2021 10:21

I've been shopping on the Next site because it stocks brands online and not just their own stuff. Also John Lewis because I can get it delivered to Waitrose the next day, which is convenient.

MrDarcysMa · 18/02/2021 11:09

I like
H&M
Monki

In lockdown I'm shopping online so far this time I've bought from:

JD Sport
River Island
New Look
Accessorize
M&S (undies)
Etsy online shops for jewellery & accessories

Tehmina23 · 18/02/2021 17:21

I will add that JD Sport, River Island & New Look all offered Blue Light Card discount which I use.
I bought Adidas Superstars from JD Sport which were already reduced.
The Accessorize items were from the sale.
I got 30% Sparks discount off my M&S lingerie.

I also bought a pair of Skechers for work from Skechers online with my Blue Light Card discount.

And I've shopped for make up, skin care & perfume from Boots & Debenhams.

Puppylucky · 18/02/2021 20:59

I am obsessed with Zalando. It's a store front for a wide range of European and UK brands that's introduced me to names I didn't know and the customer service is excellent.

orchidsonabudget · 19/02/2021 09:02

Lurking on here for brand inspiration
I try and buy second hand on eBay because a cheaper and b better for planet

wincarwoo · 19/02/2021 10:31

Jigsaw and Coast also Phase 8 have great sales on.

Ridingthecrestofawave · 20/02/2021 20:13

I never realised what great sales Jigsaw has.....and there's a good range of sizes left!

Pigtailsandall · 20/02/2021 20:22

@ridingthecrestofawave Jigsaw sales are brilliant and I love their stuff too. Their silk/cotton turtlenecks are amazing. I got a grey one last autumn and an olive one from this sale, both at £25 and they ate so comfy and fit so well.

I've mainly shopped anywhere that offers free, flexible and easy returns because I hate paying for that stuff and hate queuing at the post office.
