I just bought this from New Look. It's lovely and looks great, however I assumed the legs would be a bit longer on me (I'm REALLY short). I figured they would drape over the top of my boots (I wear chunky ankle boots/platforms - goth), giving a sort of seventies look. In fact they're just slightly longer than on the model. So whereas the model has a deliberate gap showing ankle, my gap is thinner and grazes the tops of my boots, looking a bit clunky/clownish.
I think my options are:
-wear with longer boots so there's no gap, but maybe still looking clowny?
-wear with trainers (but I would need to buy new low trainers as my old ones are now painting shoes and my current pairs are all bulky high tops)
-pick another style of shoe that I'll probably have to buy (I almost exclusively wear boots for comfort/mobility issues, no pumps/heels or sandals. Haven't had fun with ballet slippers/flats in the past).
OR
-hem up the ankles to be purposely shorter
-add fabric to the bottoms
I already checked to see if New Look has a normal non-petite length of this style (so I could hem it to suit) but unfortunately they don't!
Any ideas?
