Hi,there are lots of threads on this subject, if you do dearch
Are you taking any hormone relacement,or birth pill, recently had a baby,? under a lot if stress etc? had an operation?
There are lots of reasons for hair lost mine i believe is stress related
I take Biotin high strength, makes what i have grow a lot, but not noticed any new growth
Zinc is also good, Vitamin D3 is also good i believe
Also depends if just overall shedding or patchy
You could google different types and reasons,
It is called Telogen Effluvium if all over hair loss,
I have seen a dermatologist and he explained all types to me,if TE it apparently comes back eventually
I was prescribed Dermovate which is supposed to help, but did nothing for me
I am now using Regaine ,[Minoxodil] but had no success with that either up to now,
Hope this helps

Ive had the same along with breakage (which I never had before)
I am taking collagen , MSM (which is most definitely working to increase the pace of hair growth massively) and washing/conditioner with Watermans (which I read about here)
I think the watermans has helped as I have certainly stopped shedding, not seeing any new growth yet but only just over a month in

I’ve got terrible shedding at the moment as I had an operation (weight loss surgery) nearly 4 months ago. I’m taking very high strength biotin, vitamin d3 plus a multi vitamin so I am really hoping it’s going to slow down soon. It is quite scary when it comes out but I’m trying not to worry about it as no doubt that will make it worse.

I had this at the end of summer for a couple of months last year, I think it was stress related due to work. They say it can be a delayed reaction, so if you were stressed 3/4 months ago you might only notice the shedding now. I had a blood test done and nothing out the ordinary was picked up, but after researching I decided to start a Vitamin D supplement (especially important in winter) and just made sure I was getting enough iron in my diet (as a non meat eater I had to do my research into what to eat). I also started using the Kerastase Genesis range and I also used the Weleda Rosemary Hair Tonic daily (rosemary is suppose to help with shedding) and I would say within a couple of weeks of doing all of the above my hair loss was back to normal and now I have a lot of noticeable new growth. This was just my experience though so I would advise getting a blood test first if you haven't already.

I’ve been taking high strength Biotin, alongside vitamin D, iron supplements and a general multivitamin since October-November.

I have noticed a difference in my hair, I seem to be shedding less and have started seeing some regrowth of fine baby hair around my hairline, especially my temples. I’m hoping it clings in and thickens up. I suspect though that not visiting the hairdressers, not having my hair dyed and hardly styling it with heat during lockdown has also been a factor.

Just be aware that if you’re taking Biotin it can affect blood test results and give false readings, in particular a false Vitamin D reading.
