Don't comment if you're easily annoyed!
I can't cut my sons hair. I don't get the guards, I take too much off. I've watched numerous you tube videos and guides but I'm still going wrong. I think I'm doing it the right way but I just seem to scalp him! Help me!! I've got a Braun shaver with different ends.

What number does it say on the guards/end you're using?

I feel your pain! I tried to do it last lockdown but as soon as I started near him with the clippers I just freaked out! I’m afraid to say I had to delegate to DH and he’s done it a few times now. It takes absolutely ages and it’s been too short (IMO) each time, but I’ve just accepted that until we can visit the hairdresser again they’ll just look scalped :(
Good luck xx

What number guards do you have with the clipper?

My ds is only 3, but I've been doing his with scissors. He hates the sound of the clippers, so I don't bother. DH was determined to use them last lockdown when DS was two and he got nowhere! I did it really quickly with scissors before he knew what was happening and it looked fine. But 3 yos aren't terribly fashion conscious tbf!
