Advice needed, I have a budget of £700 for a bag for my lovely mum's 70th birthday. She is very classic, wears lots of Jules/Boden generally has more of a casual style. (And has a very nice evening bag)
Ideally cross body, nothing too big - did think mulberry - but not sure. Any ideas?

Would this be too small? Would definitely smarten up a casual wardrobe. (Comes in other colours but more photos of the black.) Also sold at MoukiMou, which is where I might rush if buying something stylish for my DM. (Or myself!)

Or this? Again, comes in several colours.

(As you can tell I'm not keen on Mulberry bags! Prefer something less recognisable but expertly made - without the heavy utilitarian look English leather sometimes has. My DM is rather older than yours; I always try to get her something very of the moment ...)

Mulberry Amberley is gorgeous.

Chloe Marcie mini is a little over at £740 but a beautiful casual cross body.

Aspinal Stella is very classic and depending on what kind of size you're for, it could come in well under budget.

Strathberry Allegro is under budget and a little larger than the others.

Or, one of these! So cute. And they seem to have become classics over the last few years, so shouldn't suddenly go out of fashion. Still a choice of colours.

Plenty of money left to treat her to some other bits
