can I ask about Boden sizes please?

I haven't bought much from Boden but I'm looking at their sale and really fancy something new even if it's just to wear around the house.

I'm a fairly standard size ten in clothes from shops like Jigsaw and Whistles. Sometimes an 8 in M&S though. 28" waist in most jeans.

Very rarely size up to a 12 - maybe in "younger" shops like H&M or River Island.

So would a Boden 10 be a good fit do you think?

You will probably need an 8 but sometimes a10 depending on the garment. The reviews are helpful.

I am a 10 in similar shops - mostly a Boden 10 is good for me although sometimes an 8 on the bottom half. 12 literally drowns me from there so don't be tempted to size up.

Boden have a tool (or certainly used to, I've not bought from them in a couple of years) that gauges your size when you put in what size you wear in other brands, I've found that useful.

I'm an 8-10 top mostly, 6 in Next skirts (27" waist) and I am an 8 in Boden.

I love Boden and buy heaps from them. I think Boden sizing is on the generous side.
Like pp have said, do have a good look at reviews for the item you are interested in.
There is also a useful sizing/measurements chart on the website so you can always measure yourself and cross match against that.

I've been looking at the jersey dresses which I guess will have some stretch in them.

I may have to order both an 8 and a 10 this time, but will investigate the sizing chart first

Yes I love Boden for being a bit generous with sizing. I wouldn’t size up.

I'd also say they are BRILLIANT with returns. It's free returns and I've never had an issue. In fact, erm, it often leads me to buy a couple of colours with the intention of returning one but somehow that doesn't happen! Witchery afoot!
