Are Benetton any good?

I havent look at their stuff since the 80s and I really like some of their current designs.

Can anybody vouch for the quality. And what is the sizing like?

As a berometer, I really dont like Next quality of clothing and my go to for guaranteed quality is John Lewis.

Where does Benetton fit on that spectrum?

I've got a couple of tops that I bought in TK Maxx. Very pleased with the quality and they've been washed several times now. Definitely more JL than Next.

I used to love Benetton quality. Gave up buying it due to their questionable ethics, then went back in desperation last summer because nothing else fitted me as well and was shocked by how poor the quality was. Their tops were thin, saggy and see- through before they'd even been worn.

Benetton was one of my highlights of being a teen. I visited their store pre-lockdown in Tottenham Court Road. They have some really cool designs and I love the colors of their knitwear but it’s poor quality. The wool feels like it’s mixed with plastic. I’d class it as pricey but disposable (this only applies to knitwear as I haven’t bought anything else). Have a look at Arket - quality is amazing and the designs are beautiful. Also Cos.

I bought a lovely Shetland wool sweater from them last year, really unusual colours. The quality of that is lovely.
