Buyers remorse

I was talking to a friend today who’d finally got her hands on one of those huge Emma Willis coats after obsessing for weeks over them, only to discover she really doesn’t love it that much.
I was the same over a pair of Panama Jack boots, they were everything I wanted in a pair of boots- soft leather, waterproof, fur lined, they looked so cosy and snug. I tried them on in Madrid when I was on holiday and loved them so much, but couldn’t justify the spend at the time. When I finally treated myself to them I realized they just weren’t quite me. Now they sit all sad and alone in a box on the top of my wardrobe 😫
What items have you lusted after, only for the shine to wear off very quickly?
These are the Panama Jack boots, I hope to fall back in love with them at some point in the future!

I saved and saved and saved for a Seasalt coat... I do like it but it's not LOVE. It's not warm enough to wear in the very cold weather so it sits hung up on the coat stand whilst I go back to wearing my old warm coat (but it's waterproof).

Sigh.

Black patent dr martins. I love the style, got dressed ready to leave the house and discovered they really badly squeak with every step! It was so bad I didn’t make it out of the front door.

Mine was my Mulberry Bayswater. Lusted after for years and about to be given to my stepdaughter as it’s too big and too heavy.

Sell it Vinyl. I used to work in 'the City' and they were very popular.

No, I won’t sell it. My stepdaughter is in love with it and I can’t wait to see her face when I give it to her.

But they are £££. Mind you, a smile can be priceless.

I'm a ruthless returned of clothes. Lesson learnt after many incidents where I bought things and never wore them. Now I'm brutal. If it isn't perfect, it goes back immediately.

Leather leggings. I imagined myself always being stylish inside the house and outside but I spend a lot of the time on the floor playing various things with my 3 year old. They are hung in the wardrobe and I look at them fondly and then reach for my mom jeans time after time.
