I have been thinking of getting one of these. Does anyone here use one, or rose quartz?

Have you seen any difference?

I prefer gua sha.

It’s easier to handle and to clean.

DameDoom · 12/02/2021 12:18

I love gua sha too. It’s so relaxing and think it has made my skin more glowy. I didn’t realise how much tension I held in my face ‘til I started doing it. It works wonders on puffiness.

WhereDoMyBluebirdsFly · 12/02/2021 13:47

Which oils or other products do you use with the gua sha? I'm really interested in getting one.

ChardonnaysPetDragon · 12/02/2021 13:49

Currently it’s a bottle of Kiehl’s Midnight something because it needs using up, but anything slippy would do.

Cocolapew · 12/02/2021 13:54

I use a jade roller and think it has helped with my puffy eyes.

ChardonnaysPetDragon · 12/02/2021 13:59

I meant to buy a roller, but then I thought a gua sha will be easier to handle.

I suppose it’s very much the same principle.

Cocolapew · 12/02/2021 14:03

Is a gua sha like a stone?

ChardonnaysPetDragon · 12/02/2021 14:20

A flat stone.

M0rT · 12/02/2021 14:23

I use a jade roller, I put my moisturiser on in the morning then sit down to read my emails and use the roller.
I don't really know if it is helping my skin but it feels nice and is soothing. So I'll keep doing it ☺️

DrinkSnackRepeat · 12/02/2021 15:11

Is there a difference in what the jade one does and the rose quartz?

OP posts:
ChardonnaysPetDragon · 12/02/2021 15:19

I’d be surprised if there was.

turnthebiglightoff · 12/02/2021 15:21

I use an amethyst roller and am in no way into crystals or anything like that but when I remember to use it I'm left looking dewy and younger...... in my mind probably!

DrinkSnackRepeat · 12/02/2021 15:23

Where did you buy them? Are we talking Amazon is fine or do I need to drop loads on one for it to work?

OP posts:
Tayzonday · 12/02/2021 15:23

There won’t be any different. I don’t think they are real especially the jade ones. Jade costs hundreds/thousands of pounds so no one is actually getting real jade.

Tayzonday · 12/02/2021 15:24

Cheap one from Amazon should be fine

ChardonnaysPetDragon · 12/02/2021 15:25

My gua sha is from Holland and barney

BlackAmericanoNoSugar · 12/02/2021 15:28

I use a jade roller, it's probably just green stone but it's cool and it rolls so it's fine. I get very puffy, fluid-y eyes and it's good for bringing the puffiness down. It came as a set with a gua sha but I prefer the roller for eyes because it doesn't drag on the skin. I use it with whatever eye cream I happen to be using (usually Neal's Yard Frankincense Intense).

Tayzonday · 12/02/2021 15:29

I bought a cheap one from primark about £2

jenesaisqu0i · 12/02/2021 15:43

I have a mushroom shaped jade gua sha and I love it. It's so soothing and cooling, especially around the eye area.

Cocolapew · 12/02/2021 16:26

I got my from ebay for less than a fiver delivered.
Thanks Chardonnay I've never heard of them before now.

ChardonnaysPetDragon · 12/02/2021 16:50

Boots do them as well.

TaraR2020 · 12/02/2021 17:54

No difference between jade or quartz...you could use any cool, hard material tbh, neither jade or quartz have magic properties in spite of their marketing!

Both rollers feel pleasant to use and are good facial massage tools
