Inexpensive treat to make my hair softer and shinier

Looking for some advice! My hair looks shit - it is long-ish (longer than I would like!) and curly but also very fine - sort of soft wavy ringlets. After a few months of central heating + icy cold playgrounds / walks in the park + no haircut it just looks terrible - loads of flyaways, getting drier and fluffier by the day. I would love some sort of (inexpensive) conditioning mask or treatment to make it shinier and softer - any recommendations would be much appreciated!

Thank you so much for all of the recommendations. I went for Garnier Hair Food (the coconut one) and it is heavenly! My hair actually looks decent for the first time in months.

Unfortunately the price has gone up on Amazon in the last few days - I bought it last week at the lower price. Superdrug have it at £4.95.

Thanks, superdrug is only click and collect at the moment here for this but i will keep an eye out or pay the full price .

8 second water has dropped to £4.95 on Amazon.

@margaritasbythesea

I like the hair food one too. Superdrug also do an Argan oil mask which is very similar in effect to Philip Kingsley elasticiser. I use Superdrug frequently and the other two interchangeably once a week.

Always want to try the natural ones but never do.

Yes I second the Superdrug one. It’s brilliant!

Pantene Ampoules are very good, especially after using a deep cleansing or volumising shampoo.

I’ve included the link for Amazon but they also sell them in the supermarkets/boots/Superdrug.

@sadpapercourtesan

Egg yolk beaten with a bit of olive oil is a great deep conditioner

I use earwax to get rid of cold sores though, so I'm probably a bit bonkers Grin

Just so long as you wash it out with sufficiently cool water. Otherwise you end up with scrambled egg hair (not that this happened to me, no no no)
