How do you paint your nails so they don't chip within 10 minutes?

Just that really.
I painted my nails last night using 2 coats of rimmel gel envy, gel envy top coat and seche vite. 24 hours later they look crap, all chipped at the ends. How do you paint your nails at home that lasts at least a couple of days?

I've had great success with Opi infinite shine, I did these a week last Saturday so 12 days ago now. I used the infinite shine base, colour plus a glitter coat before the top coat. I'm really impressed with how well they have lasted. I couldn't be doing with gel removal at home, personally!

My daughter and I went halves on the Mylee lamp and full kit with 4 colours just before Christmas. I would highly recommend. Polish stays on for about 2 weeks but it is a bit fiddly to remove (unless you peel if off)

I use essie base and Sally Hansen top coat. My colours are a mix of essie, lancome, Rimmel and random ones. I usually paint on sat/sun night and they last a week. The trick is to paint colour (usually I do this between 2 coats of colour) + top coat on the tip of the nail. For extra strength do 2 coats of top coat. I rarely chip.

I do mine over a longer time period which usually works. So base coat and then the colour the next evening and don’t put top coat on until a few hours afterwards (and try not to chip in between)

To remove gel nail varnish easily just paint gel remover on it, it basically dissolves it in 2 minutes. No soaking
