16th birthday gift for DD

I wondered if anyone has any inspiration for gift ideas for my DDs 16th in lockdown 🤔 I'm really struggling.

I've got lots of smaller bits to open, but haven't got anything significant or memorable.

She mentioned a Fitbit, but only liked the smallest one which is only about £90 - I really would've liked to spend double that, maybe a little more?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated 👍

Get her the fitbit she wants and give her the extra money in cash to spend on doing fun things with friends when it is allowed again?

I suspect a fun day out with friends this summer is way more memorable and significant than buying her a Thing just for the sake of it.

Thank you @MojoMoon

Always buy them what they ask for within reason.
Don't buy something you think they'll like, which they won't, so will be a waste of time, money and effort

My eldest I bought her a Friend's style t-shirt as an added extra. It says 16 th birthday, the one in lock down. It went down well and acknowledged that her birthday wasn't as planned. She wears it to sleep in and it has worn well. I got it from a business seller on eBay.

Sorry just reread your post and you have little bits sorted. I would do what Mojomoon said then.

Agree, buy the fitbit. You've still got a decent chunk of cash so either give it to her as cash or buy her another something nice. Clothes perhaps - eg if you don't usually spend money on designer stuff, getting her something a bit flashy could be nice? Or a voucher for when things open up and she can go shopping herself. Or some jewellery - again, if she likes it or can choose herself.

Buy her a Tiffany necklace. They do a nice one with two little hearts on and you can choose a colour. About £140.

Some special jewellery like a Pandora bracelet and charm maybe?

I agree you should get the fitbit though as she has mentioned it!

Does she like tech? Mine loves her airpods equivalent she got for Xmas. New tablet?

Not quite what you're asking but I bought some cool led strip lights and a glass Bluetooth speaker that goes different colours. Apparently these were 'the best' for this 16 yr old.

Buy the fitbit. As a pp says, don't spend money for the sake of it, it will likely be a waste.
Maybe an iou for a hotel stay when its allowed?
