Hi

My DD uses la Roche posay currently and whilst it worked well initially she keeps having outbreaks and the skin around her nose is becoming red and cracked. Not sure if it’s too harsh for her. Any other recommendations for spotty teen skin?

Thank you

I find that brand very drying. Maybe try a dermalogica set, they have sets specifically for teenage skin.

Ah ok I was wondering if I needed to get her something with salicylic acid in or if that’s too much for teen skin?

I'm no skin expert but I apply salicylic acid just to the areas I am likely to get spots and avoid the areas that could become dry. I also apply niacinimide all over my face and my skin has cleared up quite significantly. I haven't noticed any dryness as a result but I do use quite expensive and hydrating moisturizers. The ordinary would be a good brand for her to experiment with and try out some serums because they are cheap and generally do what they are supposed to.

Thanks @Babykoala1 I’ll have a look tonight and order her some to try

I found found Clean and Clear has worked really well? The gel for around the nose and chin area has really calmed it for my teen. It is pretty cheap, so maybe worth a try.

Great @Dinnertime22 I’ll check that out thank you

Is it Effaclar? That has salicylic as one of its main ingredients.
Is she also using a moisturizer?

The Dermalogica range is also salicylic based, as is Nip & Fab, Clean & Clear and almost any range aimed at breakout skin.

Hi I'm a Tropic Ambassador and my best friend swears by the products for my godson who's prone to breakouts.

There's a new cleansing powder which is great for oily skin.

Have a look at the website and feel free to ask any questions. All the stuff is natural and not tested on animals.
