Anyone a vintage lover but with a really selective wardrobe?

I love the idea of a capsule style wardrobe, but am interested in doing it with my vintage and vintage-style wardrobe. I’ve noticed that heaps of the capsule ideas are for plain-ish cuts and often block colours, whilst I love a frill and a pattern!

Anyone else the same or could anyone offer some advice re. this? Thanks!

I've been buying vintage for 40-odd years and I have to say, I don't think I could ever make that work. As I'm sure you know, finding vintage is unpredictable and pretty much everything you see is a one-off so if, you go away and think about it, there's a good chance you'll lose it.

I hope that isn't too unhelpful and I would never say it can't be done, but I think it would require a level of self discipline and organisational skill that I just don't possess.

But there's at least one other poster who wears a lot of 40s/50s stuff and who I think is more systematic about it than I am. I also think It might be easier with retro/vintage style clothing as you wouldn't have the same level of one-offness.
