Regatta Parka zips

Neither Stylish not Beautiful, but hopefully practical.
I bought a Regatta Sefarina parka and had to exchange it when the zip broke after a week. Unfortunately the zip is broken on the replacement too.
Am I just unlucky, or are the zips faulty on all Regatta jackets?
Are there any better warm, shower-proof hooded parkas under £100?

I have always had this problem with regatta coats. It usually happens after a little while though, and I only ever spent around £30 on them from the regatta outlet website. I have now bought a DLX coat from trespass. It was about £100 but it's very warm and very water proof so well worth the money to me. Its a little shorter than my usual regatta (fern) and I could have done with ordering the next size up, but I couldn't be bothered to return and just promised myself I'd lose some weight instead😂.

Sorry, just looked and I paid a bit over £100 for it, and unfortunately it seems to have gone up in price quite a bit since I bought it 6 months ago.

I've had two Regatta jackets in recent years. The zips were iffy but never actually became unusable.

I've had two and both of the zips went, each lasted only 1 winter. I thought the first was a freak but no, I won't be buying another one. Shame as the rest of the coat was amazing. I'm planning on taking it to a local sewing shop when they reopen to have a new one put in

Oh that's annoying. It was a fantastic coat apart from the zip. I'll look for another brand.
