Help! My roots!

I was hoping someone has some advice for me about my hair. I have bleached highlights on brown hair and my roots are terrible!! Obviously I can't get to the hairdresser to have them touched up so is there anyway I can cover them up at all? I bought a semi permanent box dye yesterday in light brown but I don't know whether to use it or not?

I had highlighted hair for years. Then I decided to do my own roots so I bought Clairol Nice and easy and for the first few times I did the whole head of hair so the colour matched and now I just do the roots themselves and they blend in beautifully. My hair looks really natural even though its a block colour. I use No 8.
