I've had this since DD was born 9 years ago, patches on both cheeks. I think they look bigger. Is there anything I can do? I'm 42.

I bought something called ex pigment from wish, of all places, after doing some research and deciding I thought it was worth a go. You can't buy it in Europe. I've been so impressed with how it's faded my age spots. I'm 3 weeks in and will use for 6 I think. Look in to it because it's controversial hence the Europe ban. Active ingredient is 4 % hydroquinone

Dermatica. It's an online dermatologist you upload pictures to their website and they send you our a prescription cream every month for about £23.You can't buy this over the counter. I had 3 big patches on my forehead and one on my upper lip that have vanished. I started it in August and wear SPF50 every day to protect the skin.

Dermatica entirely nailed my melasma within 4 months and it hasb't come back at all (1 year) - always need a sunscreen though but i've never been a tanning type.

I had this on my cheek and had two laser treatments and it was gone.

Yes, I tend to avoid the sun and wear sunscreen. I'll take a look this evening at Dematcia.

Are you on hormonal contraception? This makes it much worse.

It may be bigger due to spending more time outdoors/lots of sun last summer?

Icenii · 02/02/2021 14:27

No to hormone contraception and no to spending more time outside really! South facing garden, I can't bare the heat!

My skin is starting to age over last year really.
