Puffy lump under one eye

I’ve suffered with severe headaches for a few months now and general felt rotten. Took a Covid test the week it started and it was negative if that’s of any interest & have been put on amitriptyline for the headaches & amilodipine for my high BP. Now I’ve always had the distinct lines under my eyes, not dark circles or bags as such, just lines. But a few weeks ago I woke up to this puffy but under one eye. Does anyone know what it could be or what could help? I’m

I had something like that which turned out to be peri orbital cellulitis. Needed antibiotics to clear it. I would suggest a gp or at least a chemist visit for advice.

Maybe yours is (I hope it is)! Anything near your eye though, I would get checked just to be on the safe side.

I get that sometimes when I'm very tired.
Also had some kind of bug last weekend and that are in both eyes was really puffy.
I usually use caffeine serum, cold spoons or gentle massage which helps a bit

Is it squashable, or a firm lump ?

amlodipine can cause fluid retention - check with your gp.

@JMAngel1 now you’ve said that you’ve reminded me they said my ankles might swell up on the amlodipine. Will definitely ring the GP. Thank you all your replies.

Hi what did u end up doing I have the same thing!!! GP and Dr said it’s nothing but now my headaches gone and that puffy are under just one eye is still there and worries me :(

I spoke to the doctor and came off the amlodipine and it disappeared within a couple of days.

I currently have the same puffiness under my eye bag….. At first I thought it was a pimple and when I tried to pop it, it became bigger and a bit painful. I started talking ampiclux (anti biotic) yesterday, hoping you see the swelling go down soon.

Hello . There ? Anybody can help me. I have same swelling under one eye . I diagnosed recently with carpal tunnel syndrome . Neurological doctor prescribed me some vitamins like ALPHA LUPIC Acid and Renerve plus . After taking one week my symptoms get better for carper tunnel syndrome . But during 8th day I noticed same swelling like this under one eye . Later I research abit and I thought it’s bcz of some dental issue . So I visited dentel clinic and I had a abseses same side upper jaw . So I did the root canel done . At first doctor said it’s because of dental abscess . Later after X-ray dental doctor is not much sure . I have taken azithromycin antibiotic for a week but the swelling still there .

Iam worried and wondering what could be the cause if this swelling under one eye ..no pain , no itching ..no headache nothing . It’s just swelling abit. It’s been 10 days already .

Please help ! Iam really confused what is the reason behind this . I uploaded the vitamin Iam taking currently . And I have g6pd .

Hello, a Google search has brought me here and I was just wondering if anyone got any answers about what caused this as I have had what looks like the same appear under my eye yesterday.

With mine it certainly appeared to be my Amlodipine medication as once I came off that the lump disappeared. If you’re taking any meds at all, please check the possible side effects.
