Antidanfruff shampoo that won't strip dye

My scalp is so dry but head and shoulders is stripping my dye. Fed up having to do my roots every week.

I tried going to a normal shampoo and I was getting weeks out of the dye but my scalp was do itchy and flakey. I had to go back to head and shoulders.

Is there any good anti dandruff shampoos that will give me a few weeks out of dye?

I thought they did a colour version

Have you tried Body Shop ginger shampoo? It’s the only thing I’ve found that keeps my scalp happy and didn’t totally ruin my colour (red/purple).

I dont have a body shop locally anymore but I will look at ordering one off their website and give that a try

First google seborrheic dermatitis. A lot of people who think they have dandruff have this (it’s the mention of being itchy that’s the difference).

If it is SD then selenium is the magic ingredient. The ONLY colour safe option I’ve found is Philip Kingsley, but this is also the most expensive.

I would recommend using a selenium shampoo (Vichy do a good one) to get things under control and then OGX apple cider vinegar shampoo. It’s not colour stripping and seems to keep things under control.

Like @crystalflyer I find selenium really helps. But I manage to go a couple of weeks between selenium shampoos if I keep to an SLS-free shampoo, which gives you lots of colour-friendly options. I’m currently using OGX tea-tree and mint which is giving me great hair despite it being 12 months since I last saw the inside of a salon (my hair is longer than it has been for 25 years right now!)
