I have just coloured my hair. On removing the gloves I have discovered a finger nail that is half brown . Any tips ?
It was this finger too 🖕🏻😂

Is it your natural nail or extensions/ gel polish? If natural nails it should just come off if it’s acrylic or gel it’s never coming off. Sorry!

Natural nail .@DancingWithWillard z

Have you tried nail polish remover? Swirling your finger in a lemon? Painting them all brown? 😂

AnneKipanki · 28/01/2021 12:44

Tried nail polish remover.

Can you try rubbing alcohol? Hand sanitizer?

StarlightLady · 28/01/2021 14:38

Carefully, apply bleac with cotton wool as a last resort. Careful not to put your finger in your mouth afterwards or touch other bits of you(!) afterwards though. Even after you have washed your hands.

If you have a buffer then just try to buff it off then apply some nail oil if you have it

Minky37 · 28/01/2021 15:47

I’ve gone this by mistake too!
It did fade somewhat, but essentially it just had to grow out. I know it looks awful, but I hope people just assumed it had a bruised nail 🙈

I stained my nails badly with fake tan once and used bicarbonate of soda mixed with a little bit of water to make a paste, I put it on and left it for 20 mins and it did the job perfectly. My nails looked so clean and bright Grin

I know hair dye isn't the same as tan but could be worth a go if you have some bicarb already

Bbub · 28/01/2021 17:47

Other wise I would try the bleach tip above and gently scrub the nail and hope for the best. Good luck!

AfterSchoolWorry · 28/01/2021 17:48

Toothpaste will fade it.

kirkandpetal · 29/01/2021 00:17

This happened to me and it was horrid. I ended up scrubbing with 'pink stuff' which lifted it a bit but otherwise I had to just let it fade naturally. Looked like a nicotine stain. Gross!

AmberItsACertainty · 29/01/2021 00:20

Keep your nails painted? Something dark enough to cover it. It'll soon grow out.

AnneKipanki · 29/01/2021 11:44

Buffing it has reduced it .
Unfortunately I can't wear nail polish . It is not allowed in my workplace.
