Looking to buy a new foundation

I'm looking at the Clinique even better foundation, but I don't know which colour to choose? I am a red head with very pale, fair skin. I usually go for whatever is the lightest colour, but on the Boots website, they're all mixed up. There's one called custard, and one called shell? How do I choose a colour? Thanks.

I'm ultra fair & the Clinique ones are always wrong looking on me,whatever shade. Put it on the inside of your wrist, if it blends it's the one .Maybelline dream satin is amazing & 8.99. I go for not the fairest but the next one: can't remember shade ( ivory ?)as I've run out myself & about to replace.
