Does anything work for the under eye area?

For lines directly under the eye line, and to plumpness/tighten the under eye area?

I have been using the Ester Lauder advanced eye repair matrix for a few weeks and if anything it’s made it worse. I also tried an Eye treatment from Elemis but didn’t notice any effect.

I’m heading in to month 3 of a Skin & Me prescription for fine lines and wrinkles on my face, which contains Tretinoin, Niacinamide and Azelaic acid. Can’t see any improvement at all as yet but obviously early days. I don’t use that under the eye area though.

Also have troughs developing under my eyes but I realise the only think for that is surgery.

Has anyone used anything for the eyes that has made a difference? 👵

A friend swore by anusol haemorrhoid cream

DeusEx · 27/01/2021 17:38

Yes that’s what the drag queens use.

I use an Indian male called Biotique - I think it works well, thought not revolutionary. All natural.

Make, not male

Anusol thins the skin though, so can’t imagine that’s a good thing to use long term? Confused

Tretinoin

Only thing I've found to plump is Hyaluronic acid with a good moisturizer on top but obv that just improves the look.
Fillers under the eye look good but I'd be too worried about it going wrong unless I had some one very very experienced

Another vote for tretinoin

Do you put it directly under your eye? Some people say not to do that...
Paddingtonthebear · 27/01/2021 21:37

I’m already using tretinoin, but they advise not to use around eye area

Tretinion is the only thing that works for anti aging don't waste your money on anything else.
And always wear spf to stop wrinkles getting worse.

alwaysstressed · 27/01/2021 21:39

I put Tretinion under my eye and its fine. Sometimes if my skin gets a bit dry and flaky but i use aveeno moisturising cream and/or lactic acid

Right under the eye? Like near the lash line?

OP posts:
Lily193 · 28/01/2021 08:45

I use it right under the eye (up to the crease below the lash line) at a strength of 0.05%. I did need to build up to it though to by buffering avoid irritation.

Don't need to go to the lash line because it kind of spreads itself around under the skin anyway. Just use on the area moderately
YNK · 28/01/2021 22:43

Where can you get 0.5% tretinoin please?
