I have balayage in the very ends of my hair (put in in 10 months ago, had toner put on in the summer to freshen it up but a lot cut off since). My natural colour is medium brown but I’ve been having roots done the last couple of years as the greys are creeping through!
Last root touch up in salon was end of September and the greys are starting to get on my nerves. I use L’oreal root touch up spray but would rather something I didn’t have to spray on. Should I:
A) Buy a root touch up kit – my fear is all the ones I have found say ‘permanent’, if I get the colour wrong I don’t want to end up with an odd band of colour as my hair grows out!
B) Put a semi-permanent dye all over – understand it will take differently on the very ends but at least the majority of my head will be the same colour?
C) None of the above and carry on with root touch up spray until salons re-open
D) Something I haven't considered that wise mumsnetters may know of
I’ve tried embracing the greys but I just can’t, my sister is due to get married end of March and IF the ceremony can go ahead I’m a witness so would be included in the tiny guest list; and really don’t want grey roots for it.
