How can I check if a Mulberry bag is real?

Hello,

I found a Mulberry bag in a charity shop about two years ago. I found it the other day whilst having a clear out. I don't use it, but it's a nice bag, so I might put it on EBay. The problem is, since I got it from a charity shop, it may be fake.

Is there anyway of finding out if it's real or not?

If it's fake and I don't want it, what can I legally do with it? Will i get in trouble if I donate it back to the charity shop?

Just because it was from a charity shop doesnt mean it's fake. Why on earth would you get into trouble donating it back to a charity shop. You can give it away, chuck it out, sell it as unauthenticated or research if its genuine.

There are specific websites and Facebook groups that authenticate. They advise what specific photos are needed depending on the type of bag.

You can either join the Purse Forum and ask in the Mulberry sub-section or use a paid for service such as authentic8mybag. It costs £5ish and they will tell you what photos they need to see.

@NonCisWoman the purseforum can authentic but they only do it with current eBay listings.

I'd love for you to find a genuine Mulberry in a charity shop Smile

SoLongFurlough · 26/01/2021 20:14

It’s fairly unlikely Whogives

Authenticate4u.com will tell you for £5. They run through exactly what photos they need to authenticate.

I have never seen a real Mulberry (that I know of), so I have nothing to compare it to.

Realistically, it's probably a fake. However, I will try the links suggested. If it is fake, I will donate it back to the charity shop.

Thanks all Smile
