Face wash for tween

DD 10 is fully into puberty and starting to have skin issues (quite a few whiteheads) which is really starting to bother her. What can she use on her face at this age that won’t be too harsh? I’d heard good things about Lush Ultrabland but that made her skin really greasy, and a Garnier one that came recommended made her face sore.

The Inkey List Salicylic face wash or Cerave HA cleanser: www.cerave.com/skincare/cleansers/renewing-sa-cleanser

Than a light moisturiser from the same brands eg Inkey list vitamins one.

I'd go for a foamy one for ease of rinsing at her age, left on product could be drying what about this Soap and Glory one and a light oil free moisturiser, I can also recommend Fullers earth zinc oxide cream for dabbing on individual spots over night, it's old fashioned but good.

The cerave cleaner is really good. It’s nice and gentle whilst still being effective and without being greasy.

Another recommendation for Cerave Hydrating

JofraArchersFastestBall · 24/01/2021 20:06

I use the CeraVe hydrating cleanser and I wish I'd had it as a teen. It's gentle but effective, and doesn't strip the skin too much which can encourage excess oils.

Johnson clean and clear cleanser you wipe on skkin with cotton wool pad, been really good for us.

SparklingLime · 24/01/2021 20:31

It’s the Cerave Renewing SA cleanser I’d suggest as the salicylic acid will help clear pores.

I like the body shop tea tree foam one - Superdrug do one too.

Dd uses the Sukin foaming face wash. It's an Aussie natural skin care brand. She's been using it for a couple of years and her skin is good, still gets the odd little spot but nothing major. She uses the Sukin moisturiser as well.

I agree with everyone who is recommending the Cerave range.

Thanks for all the suggestions, had never heard of Cerave!
