Mumsnet is always my go to for reviews and advice but this is my first time posting so pls be nice :)

I need help with my hair! I’m 38, have shoulder length very fine very thin hair. It is curly but not nice curls. I’ve tried the curly girl method but wasn’t for me. So my usual routine is to use frizzease shampoo, bit of conditioner at the ends, then I use frizz ease 3 day straight spray before hot air brush dry and then straighten with my ghds. Getting so fed up with how thin my hair is, and also how quickly it gets greasy and needs rewashing. Stuck in a bit of a rut and in need of some (affordable) recommendations please! Anyone else got a rats tail worth of pony tail?! Easily greasy, broken, curls that are awful?!? Pls help!!

I’d do the hair quiz on aveda and buy their products, they aren’t cheap but they do work.

Thanks, will give that a try. Anyone else?

Yes I can completely feel your pain. I always refer to mine as looking like a wet look perm..which was never in style. Arrghhhh. I have a Brazilian or Keratin Blow dry every few months. They work wonders. I always purchase one from a discount site such as Groupon.

@Boboparadise totally with you on the wet perm!! Exactly the same! What do you wash and style with?

I..like you hate washing my hair because it's such an effort. I use a sulphate free shampoo and whatever conditioner is on offer tbh. The sulphate free shampoo is advised after the Keratin blow dry and is often in the bargain shops..used to only get it in boots etc and be £10 a bottle..errrr no thanks. I blow dry my hair in really small sections and this definitely helps keep it looking decent for a few more days. The more I rush the blow dry the quicker it looks like needs a wash again.

Tried a different approach this eve, did a scalp scrub to start, then naughty 1 hit wonder co-wash, squeeze dry with microfibre and that’s it. Looks fluffy but feels clean!

I have thin curly hair and I find that the less I do, the better it is.
I use any good quality shampoo, alternate at each wash, then Frizz Ease conditioner on the ends. I leave it to dry with a blast at the end, head upside down.
