Woollen winter dresses

Inspired by the thread on dress-wearing, I've decided I would like some woollen dresses for winter. But everything I find is about 10% wool and will therefore be freezing. Where do you go for 100&% woollen dresses (or near enough)?

Also, style-wise, any tips from anyone with an hourglass figure? Most of them seem to be sacklike in the extreme. I think I need something with more of a defined waist. Or do you just add a belt and hope for the best?!

Should clarify, by woollen I mean the knitted/jumper/merino type dresses for casual or smart casual wear, not formal shift dresses.

Whistles
Jaeger used to be perfect but now sadly bust!

The Fold, they always have a few knitted dresses, the sale is still on.Theirs are mainly merino, v.good quality.

I'm an hourglass and jumper dresses suit me, if they are narrow and close fitting! I have a maroon one from lipsy with military buttons up the front which is very flattering (doubt it's 100 wool though).

They are normally stretchy enough to follow your figure. I have jumper dresses from Hobbs, Woolovers and Cos. White Stuff and Monsoon have them sometimes too.

Comptoir des Cotonniers have a nice merino one in the sale.

Jaeger, Hobbs, whistles, woo lovers, tkmaxx
Most of mine are 90% wool 10% cashmere
Buy on eBay or pre Covid from charity shops

I have a jigsaw one and one from Kew which are wool or merino or mix of. Super warm but I wear a thermal or t shirt underneath so I don’t have to wash after just one wear.

And I am hourglass and find they cling quite well. Wish MN had an edit button- didn’t read second part of your OP until too late.

Uniqlo Soufflé Knit - amazing roll neck and is one of the warmest things I own.

Thanks for the suggestions! Lots of places I wouldn't have thought to look. Just having a browse now.
