Dress for online black tie

I have a work black tie event coming up in March & it’s increasingly looking like it’s on Zoom... I was going to get a new dress & still want to... is it ridiculous to go full evening dress to sit at home on my computer?! Any suggestions for an evening look that’ll look especially good from the waist up?! I’m usually a Size 12

I suppose you could forgo the dress and just find a top that suits ?! It might be cheaper too.
You may be requested to "give us a twirl" though so trackies on the bottom half might not be a good idea Grin

I'd get something secondhand off ebay. No-one is going to get to feel the quality. Loads of silky black tie stuff for under £20. Save your money for the first live event.

Ooh eBay is a great shout

Yes, good idea re eBay. I wouldn't spend any real money on an online thing. Hopefully we can go out for real some day soon and then you can buy a new frock Grin

something sparkly/sequinned will probably look great on zoom.

Something like this?

Actually, there are loads on the JL site, mostly reduced, just search sequin top

Just bought 3 different sequinned dresses on eBay 🙈
