Cellulite!

Has anyone who actually has a lot of cellulite ever managed to shift it and if so, what did you do? I am not overweight but I do, unsurprisingly, have chunky thighs. Please don't tell me it's just normal and to put up with it, it really does not look good. What worked for you?

I guess that's a no! Grin

I'm a size 8, do yoga, walk a lot, have a very low body fat percentage, and I still have two/three inches of squishy stubborn cellulite at the top of my thighs. I have more the heavier I am, but if I lost more weight, my BMI would be lower than the healthy range. I honestly think that it's something to do with having thin skin.

I even tried deadlifting at the gym for about six months, to see if amazing muscle tone in my arse and thighs would help. It didn't, although I did get very good at deadlifting and the big burly weighlifting men did start treating me as part of the gang.

I also have at least half and inch more of cellulite on my left thigh than my right. So annoying. I have idly considered that fat freezing procedure (coolscultping?) but I'm not sure if it's a snake oil therapy or legit.

Well I’m very slim but I do dry body brushing every day toes to waist. It took 3 months to work though.

Racheycat - coolsculpting you say? I have just found out that I live near a centre offering this - no idea of the costs though and it sounds a bit scary!

Fluffycloudland77 - I'd love to know more! How long did you brush for each day? Did it go completely?

The lumps are gone, I brush for a few minutes in total for both legs.

Cutting alcohol right down. Eating more healthily. Yoga, walking/running.

I agree that dry body brushing helps.
Also like a firming body lotion (Clarins or Caudalie); it at least improves the appearance of the skin.
Agree re yoga and walking, too.

Nothing works

80% of women have it

Even very slim women often have it

Hating cellulite is like hating tits or pubic hair: it’s a thing most women have

Best to know IMO Grin

But yes you can make it less apparent through weight loss, exercise, avoiding caffeine, sugar, getting pregnant etc

Weirdly I find putting a little weight on makes mine better as it seems to plump out the skin and make it less obvious - I am very thin though. Also fake tan works wonders. I keep meaning to dermaroll it but I’m not sure I could cope with another beauty task Grin
