Most First Ladies have not really embraced fashion apart from Jackie K and MO. They both wore European designers and developed their style. Melania was able to do the same. The others just looked frumpy most of the time. Nancy Reagan was chic though.

I do. She wears it well. But not everyone has her posture, poise and slimness. To be fair, whatever you might have thought of her, her clothes were mostly rather fabulous. Excluding the 'I don't care' parka obvs.

Melania's dress must have been awful. MIL said so and she's normally oblivious to this stuff.

LOVED it. I love prints, it’s also in my favourite colours and it suited her brilliantly. I have always found her and her outfits compelling to look at, even when I don’t like what she’s wearing. The body language and faces she makes that make it look like she really despises trump - I’m really interested to know if she’s going to leave him now.

I liked the dress, but she really does look like a very discontented cat to me, walk past her and she will shred your ankles with one swipe.

I loved it too. She's fantastically stylish.

I am intrigued as to why she married Trump ? With her reported intelligence and looks and the type of people she would meet as a model I expect she could have nabbed herself a millionaire if she was wanting to marry for money ? without resorting to the weird orange one ? - I guess I'm saying she would have had options so perhaps she is strangely drawn to him ?

There doesn't seem to be much about anyone she dated pre Trump . I'm not sure she will divorce him - I think she will be Mrs Trump until he dies

Like her or not you cannot say she doesn’t have great style and dresses beautifully. Her skin is amazing. She’s not phoning it in.

It makes a change from the wealthy women you see who look bloody awful.

I like to think if I was that rich I’d be more Melania than Bride of Wildenstein.

I thought the print was hideous, and I love seventies prints and kaftans.
Melania would carry anything off well though, and she obviously wanted to make a statement.

I think my mum had some curtains like that in 1972.

Over reported perhaps? Embellished even? EG age is reported to be fluent in multiple different languages but I read she can say a couple of sentences in them. That isn’t fluency.

She married for money. Lots of money. Lots of people do.
