Please help me find a nice handbag for everyday use like going shopping or to the park. My last one fell apart and I need a new one now Something not too small and up to £100 budget. Thank you

Any ideas? What handbags does everyone use?

I use a lot bags from them. www.yurishop.it/en/ Been buying them for years, very high quality , and I am often complimented about them.

dudsville · 20/01/2021 00:38

Osprey have a sale still. I've just bought the small men's satchel and a handbag.

SmartyPants0 · 20/01/2021 04:54

What sort of style do you prefer, what material and any prefered colour?
I am over 50 and find leather handbags really heavy these days

Toilenstripes · 20/01/2021 05:16

Do you want something more structured or relaxed? A shoulder or cross body? Does it need to double as anything else, like a kitchen sink? 😆 laughing at my own joke. ☺️

LightOfAThousandStars · 20/01/2021 11:17

Thanks everyone something comfortable to have over the shoulder that can fit a water bottle and purse. Not structured may be better.

I like Kipling bags for everyday. Weigh nothing till you put stuff in. Like the internal organisation that makes finding things easy, the key fob is great no more rummaging for keys. Hold a lot, loads of different styles & colours. If they get grubby can be washed in the machine.
If you buy off QVC you can use & return after 60 days if you don’t love it.

ScribblingPixie · 20/01/2021 12:49

Cos do some nice unstructured ones - lots of their leather ones selling quite cheaply on eBay too.

goose1964 · 20/01/2021 13:16

Yurishop mentioned above is Italian so duty and taxes will need to be added

MrsHuntGeneNotJeremyObviously · 20/01/2021 13:31

Fat Face do a reasonable leather shopper that's not too pricey. I got mine on sale half price.

LightOfAThousandStars · 20/01/2021 14:07

Thank you, will have a look and see if I can find something online

Like this from Mint Velvet www.mintvelvet.co.uk/product/Helena-Grey-Shoulder-Bag/31633

danuta22 · 20/01/2021 15:51

Mia Tui has nice bags

Fairydustrust · 20/01/2021 15:55

I think you should decide what style you want first, op. Will help you narrow it down. I like a backpack type of bag nowadays, for everyday use as it's much less strain on the shoulder.

LegoAndLolDolls · 20/01/2021 16:01

I was going to say Mia Tui too. I just got three bags from there in the sale opps!

I'm quite keen on little shoulder bags that fit your basics in that can fit into tote right now.

But in lockdown I dont need either 🤣

I love lots of pockets in bags and Mia Tui do that well

huuuuunnnndderrricks · 20/01/2021 17:23

John Lewis kin and rains have nice stylish backpacks

LightOfAThousandStars · 20/01/2021 22:40

For those that have the Mia TUI which styles did you choose? There are so many similar ones on there it gets confusing.

Thanks for this thread. Just ordered the Charlotte and Meghan bundle Smile

babyneversleptthrough · 20/01/2021 23:09

I just got a fossil Sydney. Go check em out. Lots of YouTube reviews too.

Outwithreason · 21/01/2021 09:35

That Mint Velvet bag is gorgeous @BigusBumus!

Has anyone come across something similar but much cheaper? Or know what type of bag it is called?

BigusBumus · 21/01/2021 09:47

@Outwithreason Its a type of bag called a Hobo bag (i think). I'll see if i can find one under £100. What colours do you like?

Outwithreason · 21/01/2021 09:49

I would love one in brown leather if you have the time to look? Thanks so much.

BigusBumus · 21/01/2021 10:21

So, This is a bigger Tan one thats nice from M&S

Never heard of these, but the colour is "brownier" than tan. Purelux

This one has a few pockets, from Next

Also from Next, but more of a bucket shape

This is Fiorelli

This is nice from White Stuff

Might start you off to be able to look for others? x

LightOfAThousandStars · 21/01/2021 11:29

Oh wow that's a good list, I'm ordering the White Stuff one, that's the style I was looking for as well. Thanks

BigusBumus · 21/01/2021 13:33

Yay, success! That White Stuff one is lovely.
