Before lockdown I had started having facials (microdermabrasion, dermaplaning) something different each time.

Does anyone know How often am I suppose to have them? Is one a week too much?

I would love one a week if I could afford it!!
I usually go once a month or every 6 weeks. I have Dermalogica facials.

Never had a facial in my life!

I've never had a facial, don't know what it involves.

Roughly every 3 weeks I wax my eyebrows and top lip, then dermaplane, then use a moisturising face mask. I also use nip and fab glycolic scrub followed by a clay mask weekly.

I have a normal facial every 6 weeks to 2 months. The salon I go to has a winter special for a hot stone massage and facial so I have the last appointment on Saturday booked. I have never had hot stones before so will be interesting to see what that’s like.
I always go in comfy clothes, have a meal to put in the oven and spend the rest of the day/evening relaxing. Bliss 😌

Every six weeks. I don't think one a week is necessary if you have a good skincare routine at home.

I've started a weekly home facial and I look forward to it every time.

Glad I'm not the only one. I started a thread on here asking whether I should and what they actually do and the consensus was that they were relaxing but don't actually do much.

I think of microdermabrasion as being quite different from a standard facial. When I had micro, it was to treat a specific skin condition and I had IPL and microdermabrasion alternate weeks for 12 weeks but have never had it again.

The facials I normally have involve deep cleanse and a variety of active products and moisturising masks etc plus facial massage. The one I usually have is designed to brighten and moisturise the skin. I only have them approximately twice a year.

At home I double cleanse every night, exfoliate once a week, dermaplane about every 6 weeks and then alternate between using an alohahydroxy acid and a nourishing oil each night. Vitamin c and SPF every morning.

Eyebrows I mostly tweeze myself but have started getting them tinted every 6 weeks.

3-4 times a year when I do a spa day type thing - obviously not possible since last March

Once a month when not in lockdown. She does a Russian face massage which is relaxing. Also does extractions which I love, removes the odd milia, a mask most of the time, sometimes microdermabrasion or radio frequency things. She’s brilliant but I’m moving soon and will miss her! I really look forward to it, it feels like a real treat to myself every month.
