Does anyone else get spots where their bra straps rub?

I have a DD cup size so my bras have to fit pretty snugly for good support. I’ve noticed that every day I seem to have another spot on my back where my bra strap rubs. I looked it up and it does seem to have a name - acne mechanica.

It’s so unsightly. I don’t get it on my front at all, just my back. Any ideas what I can do to help it? I was thinking about other support garments instead of a bra? 🤔

Yes i get this and hate it!! I shower daily, dont even sweat in the bra! Have taken to wearing crop tops and supportive bralettes which are far more comfy, but unfortunately make the spots even worse- they are often under the skin and quite painful? Following for any advice. I also body brush, wear cotton vests and clothes, exfoliate my back weekly but otherwise wash it in gentle bioderma shower gel.

Agreed. I’m not a sweaty person. Im not overweight. I’ve always been prone to spots on my torso so it’s not that unusual to me. It’s just bloody ugly and my DP mentions it so of course I feel even more 😳 about it.

How frequently do you change your bra? I used to get this occasionally if I wore one for a few days.

I get spots on my front on my collar bones underneath where the bra straps rub there. They hang around for ages and they often scar or leave little lumps! Horrible things and agree very unsightly.

My bra was freshly washed yesterday. So whilst I don’t wash my bras daily I’m pretty sure it’s not a hygiene issue.

I use Haeckels body wash with a Japanese wash cloth in the shower every morning and it definitely seems to make a difference. If I stop bothering for a few days, the spots start again.

I get this, although I am quite a sweaty person. I have found that if I gently use a loofah (bath puff thingy) on my back every day it helps alot. I do it after washing conditioner out of my hair because the conditioner can also aggravate my back spots.

Could it be your washing powder/detergent that is causing the problem?

I do OP. Have suffered from bacne my whole life but it's worse around my straps.

Change bras daily and have tried all different fits. The only thing that helps is a corse back scrubber and salicylic acid soap every other day.
