Retinol - how do I apply etc? what to do?

So I've bitten the bullet and got The Ordinary Retinol 0.5% in squalane.

When do I apply this? I do have Clinique SPF 50 etc.

I'm also interested to learn more as I recently bought the same product.

I think you should apply retinol at night, due to the increased sun sensitivity. And always wear sunscreen the following day at least, though most will say you should wear it everyday regardless.

I have oily skin naturally so would also be open to alternative product recommendations that are not so oily, once I finish this bottle.

Be careful, it burnt my face and gave me more wrinkles !

I apply it before bedtime after cleansing

I use Retinol after cleansing, leave 20 mins then add my serum and night cream.
