New foundation while in Lockdown

I'm getting near the end of YSL Le Teint and need to order more but think a. I need a lighter shade and b. I may want to try something else. I've been using it for years and I think my skin has , ahem, matured and now is even dryer and less vibrant than it was when I first started using it.
Any tips on something similiar (ie very light weight - I just want something to even my skin out slightly)?

And also any tips on how to get the colour right while in lock down?

Because it's a bit of a gamble, I think I'd rather go for cheap and cheerful so if it's the wrong colour, I'm out £15 rather than £45. But really, I'd love to just get a good product as I'm not dressing up for anything and haven't for months so making my face look nice for zoom calls is the only grown up thing I get to do!

I'm not sure what to recommend but shade wise take a look on Findation for a match.

Have a look at L’Oréal True Match Foundation.
Similar position to you, I needed foundation over lockdown and decided to trade down - pleasantly surprised and I don’t think I’d go back to my usual choice of Bobbi Brown or Estée Lauder now!

Bobbi brown used to let you return foundation if the colour wasn't right.
No idea if that's still the case but their long wear weigh less foundation is lovely.
QVC also lets you return make up, they also stick BB

Thanks everyone, I started following trails to see who did samples or free returns but spotted true match on amazon for £6 and used findation to find the right shade and boom 24 hours later have a great very light foundation which was just what I was after.

You lot never fail to deliver -- thanks!!
