Desperately trying to figure out a cleansing regime that suits my skin. I know lots of people rate ‘balms’ but they really don’t suit my skin.

Love the CeraVe cleansers. I tried the smoothing one first but I'm currently using the hydrating one which is probably better for my skin. A little goes a long way! I don't use on my eyes though - I use the body shop balm!

Onesipmore · 17/01/2021 20:08

Cervave then Paulas Choice or Jane Scrivener. Jordan Samuels after show if feeling flush.

Sosigsandwich · 17/01/2021 20:41

I used Lancome Bi Facil first then do a hot cloth cleanse with Cetaphil and a warm flannel.

Jedstre · 17/01/2021 20:45

I’m not that keen on balms either but I do like cleansing oil. They remove makeup brilliantly and rinse away leaving no oily film on your skin. Simple cleansing oil is very good and very cheap. Large Boots stock it. I follow with something like cerave hydrating cleanser.

Wagsandclaws · 17/01/2021 20:50

I use a cream cleanser followed by a hot cloth cleanser for squeaky clean skin.

GavsCloakOfInvisibility · 17/01/2021 20:53

Clinique Take The Day Off followed by Liz Earle hot cloth cleanse (or the Aldi dupe, when they've got it in)

doadeer · 17/01/2021 20:55

You could try a milk or a gel?

pangolina · 17/01/2021 21:43

Superdrug cleansing oil. It's great.

Ginevere · 17/01/2021 23:39

Chanel cleaning oil followed by Vichy normaderm gel cleanser. Absolute winners, the pair of them! I also wash the Vichy cleanser off with a Muslin.

greenemerald · 17/01/2021 23:44

Whamisa cleansing oil is amazing

Gotthetshirt23 · 17/01/2021 23:49

I like to wash my face so at the moment use a foaming cleanser , a facial bar with cloth or sometimes a scrub

Changemaname1 · 17/01/2021 23:53

Another vote for simple oil cleanser - doesn’t break me out which is always a concern for me and great at getting rid of makeup and generally feel nice and clean after

Currently followed by simple hydrating cleanser but will prob switch back to cerave or cetaphil for the second part ( nothing wrong with the simple stuff just prefer the others )

Clinique TTDO rinses very cleanly. The Inkey List balm leaves a residue, I use it in winter. Avene rinses cleaner than La Roche Posay.

First - Clinique TTDO balm or oil/Inkey List oat cleansing balm

Second - Avene Extremely Gentle Cleanser/La Roche Posay Toleriane dermo-cleanser

sunsetandcocktails · 18/01/2021 07:07

I use DHC cleansing oil followed by Klairs Rich Moisture Cleansing foam.
Has sorted out my combination skin, and large pores. I also use Paula's Choice BHA and CereVe PM Moisturiser

namechangetogamechange · 18/01/2021 07:11

Beautypie Jeju and japanfusion cleaners. Cream to oil to milk

Girlintheframe · 18/01/2021 07:53

I use Purito Cleansing oil to remove make up/spf then cerave hydrating cleanser to clean my skin.

NeedWineNow · 18/01/2021 08:59

Micellar water or Take the Day Off balm then REN Evercalm Cleansing Milk which I take of with a warm flannel.

LaBellina · 18/01/2021 09:50

Senka cleansing oil. Then Senka perfect whip.

AllTheChocolateNow · 18/01/2021 09:53

I use a cheap cleansing milk or miscellar water (sometimes both) with cotton wool to remove make up, then I hot cloth cleanse alternating between an oil or cream cleanser depending on how my skin feels.

bananamonkey · 18/01/2021 09:56

The Ordinary Squalane cleanser (it melts into an oil) the CeraVae smoothing cleanser.

Snackz · 18/01/2021 10:28

I just use a bar of Dove soap (the original) and a flannel and my skin has never looked so good Smile

limesoda · 18/01/2021 10:31

Dermalogica here. Pre cleanse which is an oil followed by ultra calming cleanser. I don't use cleanser in the morning, but do use a muslin in the shower.

The place I go to for nails and stuff gave me an ultra calming set on my birthday and it TRANSFORMED my skin, so I'm loathed to give it up.

Anotheruser02 · 18/01/2021 11:32

Soap and glory glow your mind cleansing balm, followed by Superdrug b. creamy foam cleanser which has discontinued so I'm looking out on this thread for a good second cleanse when mine runs out.

Bananachip · 18/01/2021 11:37

Sanoflore Aciana gel-oil cleanser first and then the Weleda gentle almond cream one.

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 18/01/2021 11:42

I remove makeup with micellar water, then cleanse with Chanel oil, or Emma Hardie balm, depending on how my skin feels. Always use a face cloth with either. In the morning I like the Emma Hardie light gel stuff.
