Stylish everyday jewellery?

Where can I get stylish everyday jewellery? I normally wear silver coloured metals but happy to mix and wear gold also. I'm not into bling. Looking more for 'understated cool'. Budget of around £400.

For me, everyday jewellery means moving away from metal and stones. I have a necklace that I am wearing today (I've had it for about 20 years, so no help to track one down) that's five strands of real horn beads, with a horn clasp. And another that's made from strands of textile, leather and thin wire braided together. They are simple, neutral and light to wear, but lend some visual interest/punctuation.

You need to look at a lot to decide what you really like, and be prepared to spend about two-thirds of a 'real' necklace cost because in these cases, it's all about the idea and execution and not about intrinsic value. I don't really like proper jewellery though. I think of it as decoration... like having pictures on a wall.

I just rediscovered Wright & Teague. Last thing I bought from them was nearly 20 years ago.

The silver is recycled and their workshop is based in London.

Still my go to site for jewelery. Good quality, regularly add new lines, always turns up, no quibble returns.

This is a good site for discovering new jewellery brands.

Georg Jensen for stylish silver pieces

I bought a few pairs of sterling silver and gold vermeil earrings from this site for Christmas presents. Trendy but at same time styles that will stand the test of time. My mum and friend were over the moon with their earrings.

Tomfoolery are brilliant, lots of designers at all price-points, costume as well as fine jewellery. I've had quite a few things from them.

It really depends on your style. I have struggled a lot with jewellery as I don't like heavy stuff and I lately discovered this www.mariaglezelli.com/ - she is a new designer in London, everything is made by herself, she is actually using a metal wire to make the pieces and they are all very light and elegant! I loved her rings as they are very adjustable - I wear them in different fingers every day, and I don't feel them at all!

Liberty London are a very good source of modern designers and classy offerings! My DD loves Alighieri. Depends on taste but it’s definitely not bling and is everyday wearable.
