Birkenstock Arizona Shearling

I want to order a pair of the Arizona shearling but have read a few reviews that say size up.
Does anyone have the normal Arizona and the shearling? Is there any difference in size?

I have about 5 pairs of birks, all size 39 so am finding it strange I might need a 40 in these!

Appreciate if anyone has advice

I am a big Birkenstock fan worn then for so many years, have way to many pairs in various styles and colours, bought the Arizona Shearing as a treat, and have been so disappointed with them.

The sheepskin flattened quite quickly and after only a short amount of time the sides were worn down to the cork. I did complain to birkenstock, and to be honest they were useless and I have up chasing them.

So much so it's out me off ever buying another pair.

They are too expensive for that! Hope you get some joy in refund / replacement.
How did you find size compared to your normal?

I don't have the Arizona, but the mule style with shearling. I usually wear a size 4 but with the shearling lining I did have to exchange and size up.

Yes, the shearling does flatten (as does all shoes with fluffy lining IME), but for me, the mule style is still warm and of course supportive.

I think I've seen fluffy Arizona style sandals in Mango and Zara, cheaper than Birkenstocks but no idea about quality.

I've got a pair in my usual size but they are the ones with felt straps. The shearling did flatten but I still love them. The felt is now on it's smallest hole and I think this will be the decider as too when mine call it a day. But for me they are house shoes so I don't mind.

I’m a 39 in birkies & have had 2 pairs of the Arizona shearling ones, both 39. I have a black pair on their 3rd year which I think are nearly worn out, & a neutral pair on their 3rd year which will do another. I wear them A LOT. They do look a bit scruffy quite quickly, but have lasted really well. I got a pair of eggshell teddy papillos this year which aren’t as comfy but still fine & respectable enough to wear in public. They’re a 40 as they were the only ones I could find.

So, in short, 39 or 40 will probably both be fine!

I have a pair. I bought my usual Birkenstock size which is one smaller than my size in other shoes, and they were perfect. I bought them at the beginning of last winter and wear them every day. The fluff's a bit flat now, but they're still warm and comfy. Mine are navy, with navy lining, and I love them.

Sizewise I bought my usual, did not go up a size.

Replacement or refund, I gave up, the UK customer service were dreadful supposed to email call and so on but nothing , so no nothing happened and I had better things to do than keep flogging a dead pair of sheepy haus shues
