Teen skin problems

My DS is 13 and his skin has just started breaking out in spots on his forehead.

I presume it's hormone related but wanted to ask if anyone could recommend an effective (not harsh) face wash/skin care routine for him?

I had problems with my skin for years when I was younger so I'm keen to try and stop it getting worse for him if possible.

Thanks in advance.

I’d ring his drs, it’s not the skin that’s the problem it’s the bacteria munching on the oil.

They’ll start him on a topical.

Cerave SA daily with a clean flannel in the shower

Face wash cetaphil is very mild non clogging face wash. Cream you get over counter at boots too acnecide. We ended up sending photos doctors earlier in year and got given cream, cleared up in few weeks. Does have occasional monthly flare up but so far so good seems to be under control now.

Second Face wash cetaphil, but we are now into medication through private clinic

Thanks all. Will look for Cetaphil/Acnecide to try and if no success will contact gp.

We hated cetaphil because it leaves a film on your face Cerave SA is better
